Evan Connor

I am the Co-Founder of Ponto Talent. I’ve been an operator and recruiting leader from series A through late-stage/IPO and understand all of the ups and downs of a growth story. I specialize in building companies through periods of transformation and growth, offering strategic guidance to clients who want to streamline operations and enhance overall recruiting strategy.

With a career spanning over a decade, I’ve been fortunate to have accumulated experiences across a variety of growth-focused organizations, most notably Workday, Facebook, Airbnb and Coinbase. At Coinbase, I helped scale the company from 800 employees to over 6500+ while overseeing recruiting for our Product, Design, Business, and International expansion functions. At these organizations, I’ve held a variety of recruiting roles leading each business through significant periods of expansion including several successful exits.

I hold a B.A. from San Diego State (#goaztecs) and am a proud father of two boys. I enjoy coaching youth sports, surfing at Ponto Beach, and volunteering in my community (#lovethe760).

Brandon Brock

I am the Co-Founder of Ponto Talent, equipped with a unique journey rooted in the world of startups. My story began at Facebook, where I became its 200th employee in early 2007. Across my four and a half years there, I played a pivotal role in steering the growth of teams, products, and services within the marketing and sales domains. I also took charge of nurturing our company culture, a key aspect of our success.

In 2011, I embarked on my own entrepreneurial path, founding Social Sports Lab. Our venture saw the creation and launch of two sports-centric iOS social apps. In 2015, I jumped at an opportunity to collaborate with a former colleague, and startup founder, as we built Chime, a social video sharing service. Chime's journey concluded with an acquisition by Raya App, Inc. Recently, I helped Coinbase scale their product and business teams by researching, engaging and activating the web3 talent community.

I hold a B.A. in Communications from Sonoma State University. Beyond my professional pursuits, I'm a passionate sports enthusiast, find solace in nature, and harbor a deep love for travel.
